Episode 5 – Synopsis: One Day at a Time
In this episode, disappointment meets resilience meets miscommunication as our three i-Reporters battle to influence the directions of the lives of three Imagine Afrika characters.
In Botswana, Kitso discovers that change is truly not an overnight thing as he is challenged by Ntoro's unreliability and lack of urgency in his purported quest to change. At first things go beautifully well as Ntoro lights up and responds positively to Kitso's intervention, but then Ntoro's criminal habits threaten to destroy all of Kitso's hard work.
In Uganda, Barbara continues to be homeless, sleeping here and sleeping there with her infant, and this time there is even more instability as Uganda has erupted. Burning, looting, and the army has imposed a curfew. Where is Barbara going to sleep on this night when she is not supposed to be on the street at all.
In this episode we introduce a new character from Cote d'Ivoire, Bolatch. Bolatch is a soft-spoken, wanna-be top hip-hop gentle soul that is highly troubled, both by his own internal emotional and psychological conflicts, as well as his continued clashes with his parents, to a point where he and his dad do not communicate at all.
